Spent some time out at The Canyons today to see the folks out at the Dellwood Disc Golf pro shop and to let Eco get her feet wet. It was so beautiful and sunny, 80 degrees. After a dip in the creek, I noticed a neighbor of the course had a fire going near hole 10 so I trekked across the course to photograph 10’s basket with the smoke. A couple groups came through and I explained to one of the guys why I was over there, if he had any idea that was just a preview for what the rest of the day would look like. I went home after Dellwood, ordered a pizza and was all game to hang out at home but this storm was starting to roll in and I ended up booking it to the nearest course to photograph the baskets with the contrast in the sky. I made it to O’Brien, hole 1, only getting a couple photographs in when it started to downpour. I was soaked and amped up to capture more images in the rain and headed to the Canyons for the second time! You just can’t beat the contrast and saturation that comes with rain. These are the moments I wait all year for!
