Each year the Ledgestone Insurance Open gets better and better. I have been coming to this event since 2011 when it first started and that was the same year I won the FPO division. Since then I have found more interest behind the lens and it has been amazing to see how much it has grown over the years. This year they raised the most amount of money ever for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at $45,000. It seems like more and more spectators come out to witness this event too and I was so happy to capture one fan who found disc golf just a few months ago at 91 years old! You can read about Wayne and how I found him after not getting his contact information in the story below: The Fan That Stole My Heart. I want to congratulate Paige Pierce and Paul McBeth on their first place wins in the FPO and MPO divisions, they both played with incredible confidence throughout the event and it was incredible to witness. I also want to thank Nate Heinold and the Ledgestone Insurance Open for hiring me to cover this event, without their support these stories would not have been told. I myself am still recovering from these moments, disc golf really does have a special place in my heart and I hope you enjoy these stories. Below are the links to each blog that has been posted by day, division and event.
