The Joliet Prison Putting League has come to an end for the season. It was an exciting finish for all divisions to the very end as players were so close in points which made for a lot of shuffling to determine who would place and get one of the coveted Dale Delassaso/Leo Borowski trophies. I want to thank Mark Grabavoy for his vision to host both the putting league and disc golf tournament on the grounds of the Old Joliet Prison; Dellwood Disc Golf for being the hostess with the mostest; Sean Callahan, Leo and Mark Borowski, and Thor Batchelor on scores and TD/course set up; Shelia Callahan, Paula Borowski and Jamie Mack for hosting the snack shop. With the help of these volunteers the event was a major success and I highly look forward to it coming back next winter. The course itself was an 18-hole layout inside the women’s prison on Saturday night where you play two rounds back-to-back. There was a total of 16-consecutive weeks of play where points from each night were accumulated for overall division champions and player’s party on the final night.
